The CCG Trust (Reg. charity no. 1118179)

The founder of CCG has established a charitable trust for members and friends of CCG, to support wildlife in the South Luangwa National Park in Zambia, one of the great wilderness areas and premier safari destinations of Africa. The Luangwa Valley is the size of England and is a Protected Area for wildlife with four National Parks; however, in recent years there has been an increase in commercial game meat poaching and the illegal ivory trade. International investors can do a great deal to assist the earth's biodiversity by funding conservation work in sensitive areas.

In order to assist sustainable development including conservation, tourism and education in Zambia, the CCG Trust has selected specific projects for financial assistance - operating in the fields of wildlife education, anti-poaching and community development. These are small scale organisations whose focused and dedicated work in a particular national park has significant impact, from effective use of modest resources. Donors are able to visit the projects as part of a safari and see first hand the use of their funds.

We have raised more than £40,000 from 2007 to 2009. The trustees have selected the following two projects for financial support, and a group of our donors made a visit to each on safari last year. In future years we will be expanding our portfolio of projects to other areas of Africa.
